Celebrations for MLK Day

on Wed, 01/20/2016 - 10:14

Monday 18th January 2016: Today the Mayor of Buc came to our school to celebrate Martin Luther King Day with us.  The 6e Anglophones began by singing I have a dream by Daria and the 3e sang Heal the World and We are the World by Michael Jackson.  The 4e Anglophones stood up one by one and told us what their dreams are.  It ended with the 3e showing us the new fresco of Martin Luther King that they did outside the school gates.  It looks really good!  We all had a very nice time.

MLK Day : 19th January 2015

on Wed, 01/21/2015 - 09:01

19th January 2015 saw the PSAB join forces with the English teachers at MLK to celebrate the life and work of the school’s namesake, Martin Luther King Jr.

Pupils in 6e and 5e used their English lessons to learn more about civil rights and racial equality through a variety of posters, information sheets and quizzes. Mrs Vernay gave us the following feedback: “My 6ème franco class enjoyed their activity and managed it very well.  In addition,  I saw Mme Montanuy who has the 5ème franco class, and she said the activity was absolutely perfect and everybody enjoyed it!
